DO YOU WANT A TREE?

If you would like a tree in front of your home, business or on your block, East Poplar Tree Tenders are always accepting requests. The trees are free. Our volunteers will:


  • ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE ABOUT TREES AND SIDEWALKS
  • HELP CHOOSE THE RIGHT TREE FOR YOUR SITE
  • HELP GET NECESSARY PERMITS
  • HELP PREPARE THE SITE (REMOVE CONCRETE, DIG HOLES)
  • PLANT THE TREES

Become a Tree Tender!
Register now for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Tree Tender training. This is 9 hours of hands-on training covering tree biology, identification, planting, proper care and working with your community. The classes are free and a meal is provided.
 
The 2010 Spring Session is being scheduled now: go to the Pennsylvania
 
Classes are held at  PHS, 100 North 20th Street (20th/Arch Street)
Tree Tender classes always fill quickly so register soon. For the group name on the registration form, please enter "East Poplar Tree Tenders".

Our neighborhood Tree Tenders make our bare root tree planting possible and are an important part of attracting greening resources to the neighborhood.
